Urban Transitions 2022

Freddy Nogueira, PhD candidate and member of the project, represented Streets4ALL at the Urban Transitions 2022 conference, which occurred in Sitges – Barcelona – Spain from October 8th to 10th. The initial outputs from the Task 1 of the project were exposed in three sessions of the conference: two poster sessions and one poster teaser session. During the first poster session, S4A was present with the poster entitled “Urban Sensing and Smart Infrastructure Technologies that Enable Dynamic Distribution of Street Space: A Systematic Review”, while for the second poster session and poster teaser S4A was present with the research entitled “Is it Time to Rethink Public Space Allocation? A Systematic Literature Review”. Both posters sparked the interest of the audience, with questions and comments about the initial concept of the project, the methodology applied during the reviews, and the outputs and results obtained. It is highlighted that all comments and suggestions will be discussed during the project’s first Workshop, which will take place at Instituto Superior Técnico, on December 7th.
