First Streets4All Workshop
This event was a dedicated platform for representing the project to key stakeholders and fostering discussions on the dynamic allocation of road space over time.
We welcomed a diverse group of participants, including technicians from municipalities (Lisbon and Coimbra), representatives from civil society (e.g., Automobile Club of Portugal, merchant associations), urban planners, architects, engineers, transport operators, and industry experts. This eclectic mix ensured a co-creative exchange of perspectives, essential for shaping the future steps of STREETS4ALL.

Task 1 – Identifying Barriers: Nineteen participants, divided into four heterogeneous groups, embarked on an exploration of barriers to dynamic road space allocation. Each participant individually selected eight barriers, leading to group discussions and the eventual selection of Top 3. These top barriers were then presented to all participants, who collectively voted on the most crucial challenges.
Task 2 – Proposing Solutions: The four most voted barriers were randomly assigned to groups, initiating focused discussions on innovative solutions. Each group delved into proposing strategies for their assigned barrier, presenting their insights to all participants.
This workshop marks the inception of STREETS4ALL collaborative journey, where diverse voices converge to shape a more accessible and dynamic urban landscape.
