Maria Inês Lopes

Inês Lopes is a final-year master’s student in Engineering and Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Instituto Superior Técnico, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Her special interest in Urban Mobility and Liveable Cities led her to join the U-Shift Research Group for her thesis development. Her current work focuses on analyzing the acceptance of urban interventions by different population groups, within the Streets4All Project.

In her master’s program, Inês has gained knowledge in the innovation field with a focus on Urban Mobility and User Research. She is dynamic, versatile and loves problem-solving through creativity, with various experiences on top of her academic track in fields such as sales and education.

She is also passionate about graphic design, contributing to various Marketing and Communication Departments, including the Mechanical Engineering Students Association and the cultural organization Lounge IST, as part of her extracurricular activities.
