Ana Morais de Sá

Ana Sá graduated in Territorial Engineering at Lisbon University, in Instituto Superior Técnico (Portugal). In 2014, she completed her PhD at the same university on the basis of her study on the relationship between Sustainable Municipal Financing, Land and Property Taxation and Land Policies and Spatial Planning. Since then, she is an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering, Architecture and Georesources Department of Lisbon University and she has lectured on various courses of different BSc, MSc and PhD programmes [e.g. Urban and Regional Planning (BSc and MSc), Urban Planning (MSc), Urban Management (MSc), Planning Public Facilities and Land Use Policies and Land and Property Taxation (PhD)]. She has been involved in some national research projects, some funded by FCT – Portuguese Science Foundation [such as, RIPROCITY – Rivers in Cities: opportunities for urban sustainability (POCI/AUR/62210/2004) and more recently PERCOM – Equity and efficiency in the urban development process: a Land Readjustment execution model (PTDC/AUR-URB/120509/2010)]. In both projects, her research interests focused on cross-national comparative analysis of the relationship between planning law, land use regulations, property rights, land and property taxation and planning practice.
