Visiting research at the Technical University of Denmark
Gabriel Valença, PhD candidate and member of the Streets4All Project, passed 6 months at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen. There he worked with Professor Carlos Azevedo, a collaborator of the project, and integrated the Machine Learning for Smart Mobility research group.
During his time in Denmark, Gabriel worked on developing a machine learning algorithm that can get a real image of a street and create a new one with different urban design. The work is still in progress, but they believe that this can assist decision makers in proposing road space allocation solutions in a quicker and responsive way.
This work is part of Gabriel’s PhD thesis and can influence on developing future stages of the Streets4All project.
